Bosna Re was established in 1978 as first reinsurance company in Bosnia and Herzegovina. In 33 years of very successful operation, Bosna Re practically started it's development two times. With dramatic changes that took place over the last ten years, the role and position of Bosna Re considerably changed as well. Introduction of new technologies, followed and accepted successfully by Bosna Re, improvement and enlarging of the knowledge of our employees and longstanding business relations with major reinsurance companies in the world were the basis for reconfirmation of our position on the insurance market in Bosnia and Herzegovina and enabled us an entry into another markets.

Changes occurred on the insurance market in Bosnia and Herzegovina required different way of operating. Large number of newly established insurance companies, with lower capacities and dominant participation of motor TPL insurance requested fast providing of a quality services. Currently Bosna Re gives reinsurance services for almost all companies in Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, in lesser extant for insurance companies in Republic of Srpska and for some companies from the region. Bosna Re provides reinsurance cover for both non-life and life insurance.
Bosna Re is at the same time the only company in insurance field in wider area that continuously runs education and training of the employees of insurance companies. In period between 1996 and the end of 2010, we had 40 seminars where the lecturers were experts from the leading reinsurance companies. These seminars were attended by more than 1.000 participants.

Work with a large number of insurance companies enables us to have excellent insight on the situation on insurance market in Bosnia and Herzegovina and neighbouring countries. Thus Bosna Re is a real partner to turn to in case of need for insurance in Bosnia and Herzegovina and wider region.
